Women's Boxing Boots

Women's boxing boots are, for the most part, the same boots the men wear, and that is the useful truth behind this collection: 16 styles from Nike, Adidas, Rival, Everlast, Pro Box and Boxfit, chosen because they come in the smaller sizes women need and fit a narrower foot well. From the Nike HyperKO 3 and Adidas Speedex 23 to the Pro Box Speed-Lite and Boxfit leather high boots, prices start from £39.99.

Choosing women's boxing boots

Three things matter: height, sole and weight. High-top boots such as the Everlast Elite 2.0, Adidas New Havoc and Boxfit leather high boots lace above the ankle and give the most support, for sparring, competition and anyone who has rolled an ankle. Low-cut boots like the Tyson low cut are lighter and quicker for pad work and fitness boxing where you are not taking shots. A thin, flat sole lets you pivot on the ball of the foot; a cushioned running sole does not. The Nike HyperKO 3 and Adidas Speedex 23 are the competition-level options here.

Sizing: the unisex scale explained

Most boxing boots are made on a unisex last and sold in UK men's sizes, and brands do not always convert clearly. Use the chart on each product page and convert from your usual women's trainer size rather than guessing; if you are between sizes, take the snug option, because a boxing boot must hold your heel firmly to support the ankle. If a boot you like is not listed here, check the main boxing boots range, where the same models appear in the full size run.

Boxing, fitness or weights?

If you box, buy boxing boots. If you lift as part of your training, women's weightlifting shoes with a raised, solid heel are a separate purchase; do not squat heavy in boxing boots or box in lifting shoes. For boxercise and fitness classes on pads and bags, a low-cut boxing boot still beats a gym trainer for its flat sole and grip.

Frequently asked questions

Are women's boxing boots different from men's?

Usually not. Most brands make one boot on a unisex last and sell it in men's sizing, so the difference is the size run and the colour options. A few models run narrower, which suits many women's feet better; ask us for a narrow-fit recommendation.

What size boxing boots should a woman buy?

Convert your usual women's trainer size to the brand's men's scale using the chart on the product page, then choose the snug option if you are between sizes. A boxing boot should hold the heel firmly with no lift; loose boots give no ankle support and catch on the canvas.

Can I wear boxing boots for boxercise or a fitness class?

Yes, and they are better than trainers for it. The flat, thin sole lets you pivot properly on the ball of the foot for hooks and the grip stops you sliding on a gym floor. A low-cut boot is the lighter choice if you are not sparring.
