Founded in the boxing hotbed of Mexico City, the eponymous Cleto Reyes has born in 1920 during a difficult period in Mexican history following the Mexican Revolution.
As a teenager in 1936, Reyes competed in an amateur fight, and chose to fix the gloves he had used. This was the start of what would become one of the most famous names and brands in the boxing glove industry.
In 1945, Cleto Reyes gloves were used in a World Championship fight for the first time, and the brand’s legacy has only grown since that day.
